I flew t' unmodified version o' this rocket for me Level 1 on an AT H128W - great reload and great flight! For me Level 2, I added a LOC 4" avionics bay and extended payload section. I used a PerfectFlite MAWD with Newton's Third canisters for drogue and main deployment charges. I used three 2-56 nylon screws for shear pins on t' nose cone. T' Horizon is one awesome rocket!
July 2011 update - I mounted a custom built GPS telemetry system in t' Orzel. T' rocket avionics portion consists o' a GPS module, matey, an Xbee wireless radio, and a 3.7v LiPo battery pack. T' ground station consists o' another Xbee wireless radio, ya bilge rat, an Arduino Fio, an LCD, matey, and a 3.7v LiPo battery pack mounted in a plastic enclosure. Ground testin' o' t' system has been completed and position data has been successfully validated with a handheld GPS. I plan t' perform flight testin' at t' next Battle Park launch this fall.

Mixed flight - be supposed t' test me home built GPS locator module, me hearties, but t' battery for t' ground station was dead. I had decided t' scrub this flight due t' t' windy conditions on t' field, but later changed me mind. I built charges (more on that later) and continued t' prep t' rocket for flight. I loaded t' rocket on t' rail and waited for t' flight - no continuity. After an igniter change out, t' rocket roared off t' pad on t' I211W - straight boost. We could see t' rocket separate at apogee, but t' main never deployed. T' rocket be in pretty good shape, although t' payload section be damaged and needs t' be replaced. T' altimeter was beepin' out 2131 ft. Post flight inspection revealed that both charges had fired. In hindsight, I may have switched t' apogee and main charges. T' apogee charge would've been too small t' deploy t' main. I will replace t' payload section and prep t' rocket for flight again in December.
