From 2002 t' 2013, me bucko, Tripoli San Diego (TRASD) hosted a high power rocketry event called t' Plaster Blaster. Their launch site be t' BLM's Plaster City East Stagin' Area, where TRASD had a 25,000' FAA waiver. Ya scallywag! US Gypsum's Plaster City drywall plant was several miles west, hence t' name Plaster Blaster. I attended 7 o' t' 12 Blasters, startin' in 2006. Blimey! I videotaped t' first two I went to, arrr, 2006 and 2008, shiver me timbers, and turned them into regular DVDs. However, in t' later years, me hearties, I mostly just took digital still photos. I did video record a few o' t' flights in t' later years though, matey, mostly t' big projects. Avast, me proud beauty! I've assembled t' video clips into an iMovie movie, mostly so I could watch them, me bucko, but since t' work's already done, me bucko, I might as well share them on here. It be good while it lasted. Arrr! In 2014 TRASD lost their waiver for Plaster City East and moved their launch site t' t' abandoned Holtville Airport a few years later. Begad! Their waiver is lower at Holtville, matey, don't remember what it is. Arrr! T' leadership changed and they never resurrected t' Plaster Blaster or any resemblance thereto. Begad! Although t' Blaster diminished with virtually every year after 2008, shiver me timbers, still a lot o' cool flights took off. Blimey! T' action was really hot back in t' mid-2000s when people still had lots o' loot t' burn.
