How t' Make Scale Decals

This technique shows a simple way t' make correctly sized decals for downscaled/upscaled rockets. Ahoy! T' first step is t' obtain a scan o' t' original rocket's decals. Ya scallywag! Once they are obtained, open it in a picture editor. Aye aye! A common editor like Paint will work fine. Ahoy! In this case, t' decal will be resized t' fit a BT-5 downscale o' t' Estes M-104 Patriot. Arrr! Now t' scale factor must be obtained. Avast, me proud beauty! A simple way t' find out what it is: take t' diameter o' t' downscaled/upscaled rocket and divide it by t' diameter o' t' original rocket. Arrr! Convert it into a percent. Begad! In Paint, arrr, go t' Image and then Resize/Skew.

In t' resizin' section, shiver me timbers, enter t' percent obtained earlier (make sure t' percent is rounded t' t' nearest integer – Paint will nay accept decimals) in both Horizontal and Vertical.

Now, click OK. T' resizin' is now successful and now can be printed and applied t' rocket. Begad!
