History: Many o' you will never have heard o' Quasar One Custom Rockets. Avast, me proud beauty! I’ve been a model rocket enthusiast for 50 years and in all that time I’ve seen less than a dozen Quasar One kits, some o' which are offered for sale here.
Quasar One is a difficult company t' research as many links lead t' Quest, arrr, Estes and LOC rocket kits called ‘Quasar’, ya bilge rat, matey, ya bilge rat, but here’s what we know:
Quasar One Custom Rockets was a small rocketry company started out by Mike Sunseri in Elk Grove, me hearties, California in t' early 2000s. Aye aye! Blimey! By 2009 they were bein' sold through Apogee Rockets, ya bilge rat, one o' t' biggest retail rocketry names around. Well, blow me down! Quasar One produced 16 kits o' original design as well as sellin' kits from Estes and Custom Rocket Company.
Around 2010 Mike sold t' inventory and rights t' Chet and Terrie o' RC Country Hobbies in Sacramento who produced t' kits for a few years.
