My first F motor, and me first rail launch. And everythin' looked good. Nice boost, ya bilge rat, deploy near apogee, slow descent under chute… into t' high weeds. I put me boots on and spent a while lookin' before I found it, and found a surprise: One fin off and a little superficial airframe damage. Arrr! All right, that’s just weird. Descent under full chute, and you’d think t' high weeds would provide about t' softest possible landin' at our site. Avast! Though thar are some hard roots on t' ground in there. Ahoy! I don’t know. Avast, me proud beauty! T' fin was intact, it was t' glue joint that failed, which suggests t' glue joint wasn’t so good in t' first place. Well, I think I can probably patch this up in time for URRF next weekend. Begad! Won’t be as pretty though.
