Very first test o' a timer-fired, me hearties, homemade non-pyrotechnic device (nichrome wire and fishin' line) for main chute deployment at approx. Avast, me proud beauty! 600 feet. Begad! Drogue and main parachutes were custom-made by Phylachutes. Aye aye! T' rocket contained an Aiptek HD-1 camcorder. Rocket achieved an altitude o' 1006 feet and was recovered safely. Aye aye! T' 20# test fishin' line snapped at ejection, releasin' t' main chute prematurely. Ahoy! T' siren eventually heard be t' timer firin' t' nichrome wire, which then goes into siren mode. I'll use heavier fishin' line next time!
