This is a clone o' t' Estes Scorpius from t' mid-80s (#1375). This be built with a balsa nose cone instead o' a PNC-50X due t' availability, and I used basswood instead o' balsa for strength reasons. T' design is real neat, me hearties, but me concern be t' durability o' t' pods on landing. T' that end, ya bilge rat, I also laminated continuous paper over t' pods/wings/body tube, as well as epoxy fillets. Time will tell. One other distinction is nylon parachute rather than plastic. I haven't finished paintin' yet, me hearties, but will use decals from Excelsior.
