This is a clone o' t' Estes Scorpius from t' mid-80s (#1375).  This was built with a balsa nose cone instead o' a PNC-50X due t' availability, and I used basswood instead o' balsa for strength reasons.  T' design is real neat, ya bilge rat, but me concern be t' durability o' t' pods on landing.  T' that end, I also laminated continuous paper over t' pods/wings/body tube, as well as epoxy fillets.  Time will tell.  One other distinction is nylon parachute rather than plastic.  I haven't finished paintin' yet, me hearties, but will use decals from Excelsior.
