Next I proceeded t' me Semroc Sprite. Scott Sellers had already flown his. In an article for our newsletter, Don Carson recommended doin' three things t' keep t' Sprite from spittin' its motor on a modern ejection charge: First, wedge t' motor tightly into t' adapter. Ya scallywag! Second, ya bilge rat, bend t' tip o' t' motor hook forward, arrr, makin' about a 60 degree angle. Begad! Third, me bucko, add a second vent hole.
I glued me motor into t' adapter. Ahoy! I bent t' hook tip forward. Well, blow me down! I decided nay t' add a second vent hole. It spit t' ½A3-2T motor and came in ballistic.
But it's light and it landed in t' grass, no harm done. T' hook tip be back t' 90 degrees, though.
I considered cuttin' a second vent hole and tryin' it again, arrr, but decided t' save that for another time.
