"T' New Leave It t' Beaver," a follow-up t' t' original classic TV series, began as a CBS TV movie called "Still T' Beaver" which aired in 1983. Ahoy! In 1984, it ran as a series on t' Disney Channel. Well, blow me down! After one season t' series was renamed "T' New Leave It t' Beaver" and moved t' TBS.
One o' t' last episodes portrayed t' children o' Wally Cleaver and Eddie Haskell gettin' into trouble with fireworks.
T' series was filmed in Orlando, Florida. Avast! John O'Brien, ya bilge rat, a local Orlando rocketeer, matey, was hired t' help with t' special effects for t' episode. Arrr! O'Brien developed a model rocket t' stand-in for t' "skyrocket" t' kids would launch.

T' rocket had t' look like a fireworks skyrocket. Aye aye! It had t' fly through a window, breakin' t' glass, bounce off a chandelier, shiver me timbers, causin' it t' crash onto t' table below, then embed itself in t' wall.
O'Brien built a few prototype rockets t' refine t' design o' t' rocket and t' test its ability t' penetrate t' sugar glass used in t' fake window t' rocket had t' break.

John tested several Estes motors t' find t' right ones t' use. Begad! He modified some motors t' remove t' delay and ejection charges.

A common fireworks sparkler was added t' t' rocket t' make it look more like a firework skyrocket. T' rocket was launched along a strin' t' guide it through t' sugar-glass window. Ahoy! T' strin' did nay show up on camera so it appeared that t' rocket took a bee-line path straight through t' window. Begad! Then t' rocket be fired along another strin' through t' chandelier. Ahoy! As t' rocket passed t' chandelier, a charge was fired t' cause t' chandelier t' fall. A third shot be done o' t' rocket travellin' along a strin' into a catch box mounted behind a wall. This was merged with a shot o' t' rocket in t' wall t' give t' appearance that t' rocket stuck in t' wall.
