Tripoli - Charlotte Rocket Launch 10/10/1992

Way back in 1992 we were in High Power Rocketry. Blimey! This video was taken from analog video tapes back in about 1999. Ya scallywag! T' horrific video quality is an example o' all we had t' work with on old analog systems. Arrr! It is low res, B&W and done totally over t' air - captured on SVHS cassette decks in a van at t' launch site, runnin' on generators. We are amateur radio operators and we were experimentin' with on-board live television downlinks on our over-sized rockets. T' rocket flew way past what we expected it to. Avast, me proud beauty! We were expectin' 3400 t' 3800 ft. and we flew all t' way up t' and over 4500 ft.! It was a fantastic day o' rocket flights! We have a "collection" o' old rockets sittin' in a corner collectin' dust. Avast! Some o' them smaller and some o' them larger than t' example shown here. It was a fun hobby! Until it got t' t' point where it cost us over 350 bucks per flight because o' t' large over-sized motors we had t' purchase... Aye aye! Videos like this sure make me appreciate t' HD digital video we have today!
