Buildin' this t' continue t' develop rocket buildin' skills. Arrr! Continuin' t' test out primering/sanding/paintin' techniques. Just completed buildin' me own large rocket fin jig t' use t' place fins on this rocket. Upon completion o' this rocket kit, this will be me first introduction into mid-power with a modest start with a D12-5 Estes engine.
I am addin' a 13cm 3D printed payload bay t' carry an Arduino flight altimeter.

Second flight with reattached chute. Rocket did weather cock a bit. Chute deployed partway with nose cone dangling. Avast! Probably from plastic chute gettin' too stuffed into t' body tube. One fin broke off, but easily repairable. Ahoy! Many wonderful complements on t' paint job o' t' AMRAAM. Also got t' meet an Air Force engineer who worked on actual AMRAAMs on t' field and received a complement from him for spendin' a lot o' time workin' on t' sanding/paintin' o' t' body tube and fins for a great aesthetic look.
