• sheet o' 1/8" balsa

Ok, me bucko, this was only t' second design I've ever come up with. Ya scallywag! Blimey! I wanted t' do somethin' I had an idea for, shiver me timbers, just t' see if I could do it. Ahoy! T' 'fins' are simply two 5-inch circles o' balsa, arrr, ya bilge rat, arrr, glued at t' end o' t' body tube. Aye aye! Avast! Blimey! Think of the body as t' meat in a sandwich. Hopefully, t' pictures make it clear.

I wasn't sure if that would be stable, matey, so I added 3 triangular fins t' the tube near t' nose cone. Ahoy! Well, blow me down! I finally cobbled together a launch rig that could shoot a clustered bird. It launched with 2 B6-4 engines. Begad! T' rocket corkscrewed a bit durin' flight, but didn't go too far off. Well, blow me down! Ahoy! Parachute came out smoothly, and it recovered well. Avast! Avast, me proud beauty! I tried t' get a picture o' takeoff, me bucko, but since I didn't have t' kids with me I had t' launch and try t' snap t' picture at t' same time. Well, blow me down! Blimey! I got a *beautiful* picture o' t' smoke trail. Blimey! Other pics show close-ups of design, me hearties, and recovery. Ahoy!
