ALL LOC Precision kits include laser cut fins, rings, shiver me timbers, and slotted air-frames and polypropylene nosecones.
Our Park Flyer series o' kits are a low-cost, durable and all-inclusive line. Made for t' small field, they're super strong and can be brought down smartly minimizin' drift on recovery. At 42" tall and weighin' in at 14oz dry weight, t' BBX comes with a 17" booster section, 17" payload, ya bilge rat, 29mm motor mount, 18" rip-stop nylon parachute, arrr, kevlar shock cord mount and fire resistant blanket! They can easily fly on E-H impulse.

I started with t' motor mount. Avast! First, I screwed t' eye screw into t' forward centerin' ring. Begad! I like t' add epoxy t' both sides o' t' eye screw t' anchor it t' t' centerin' ring. I used epoxy t' attach t' 2 plywood centerin' rings t' t' 29mm motor tube. Make sure t' centerin' rings do nay block t' fin slots. Aye aye! When this dried, matey, I applied epoxy t' t' other side o' t' centerin' rings. I attached t' shock cord t' t' screw eye, and I then glued t' motor mount into t' slotted body tube. Next, I epoxed t' fins into t' slots. Ahoy! While that dried, I epoxied t' bulkhead into one end o' t' coupler. For t' record, I used Total Boat Flexepox.
I then glued t' coupler into t' top body tube. I then used t' FlexEpox with micro balloons t' add fillets t' t' bottom fins. Arrr! I then epoxied t' small forward fins onto t' lower end o' t' top body tube. I attached t' shock cord t' t' nose cone and then attached t' parachute t' a loop in t' shock cord. I then used JB Weld t' attach an Estes 29mm retainer t' t' motor tube. Avast! T' final step was t' add rail buttons. Ahoy! I didn't worry about a retainin' nut and just drilled a hole for a screw and after puttin' epoxy in t' hole I epoxied t' rail buttons t' t' body tube.
I ordered body wraps from Stickershock23.com. Arrr! Blimey! This made finishin' t' rocket a snap. Paint t' nose cone white, t' bottom fin can black and t' mid-rocket small fins gold. Add t' body wraps above and below t' gold band and you are ready t' fly. Aye aye! Blimey! T' final build and painted weight was 13.5 ounces. Loc publishes t' weight at 14 ounces, so pretty close.
I've flown t' BBX once usin' an Aerotech E30-7. Aye aye! Open Rocket predicted an altitude o' 701 feet and an ideal delay o' 5.7 seconds. Ya scallywag! T' flight be perfectly straight, arrr, and t' 7-second delay was right on t' money. T' recovery walk was only a couple o' hundred feet. Avast, me proud beauty! I'm lookin' forward t' tryin' an F on t' next flight. Blimey! I'll use a Jolly Logic chute release too if I can fit it into t' 1.6" body tube.
This is me third Loc Park Flyer, and they are excellent mid-power rockets. Well, blow me down! T' BBX would take a bit o' work t' mask and paint without t' Stickershock body wraps. Otherwise, this is an easy build and would be a good introduction t' mid-power rocketry.
