Brief:
This is an upscale 2+ x's, ya bilge rat, o' t' "Cup o' Joe" saucer, for t' 2010 EMRR challenge. Begad! (I realize this is scratch built)

Construction:

• 1 - Empty Cool Whip container
• 1 - 4" BT20
• 1 - Soda straw
• 1 - Spent motor
• 1/4" foam board
• Option: florist wire or landscape flag wire, etc.

This was a pretty simple project except for alignment o' body tube. Avast, me proud beauty! After this first one, ya bilge rat, may have club build some. Avast, me proud beauty! Aye aye! This time, with "oversized" holes t' allow alignment o' BT straight up and down.

Had all t' parts layin' around, shiver me timbers, except for t' Cool whip, shiver me timbers, whip I ate for t' container.

Tools: I opted t' glue foam board on lid, ya bilge rat, me hearties, and in bottom, shiver me timbers, drill holes and cut on a scroll saw. Blimey! Aye aye! Nay t' easiest but sure was fast. Good sharp hobby knife t' cut foam, drill, (Loctite)epoxy, adhesive spray, me hearties, matey, and marker or pencil.

This is a very sturdy rocket! You can coat BT in "modge podge" for a little more strength. Also, add florist wire "landin' gear".

Finishing:
BE CAREFUL threadin' "landin' gear" thru pre-drilled holes in "bottom", which is now t' top. Could VERY EASILY puncture Motor Mount.

Flight:
Because o' t' width and wind resistance, me 1st motor will b a C6-5.

Prep is easy: "friction fit" a motor in place. Nothin' else need, "tumble recovery." 1st flight today 2/20 on a C6-5. Begad! Went perfect! ejection went off @ apogee or maybe w/nose slightly down. No damage w/soft landin' in snow.

Recovery:
Tumble recovery went fine on first flight. Begad! Begad! Used a 4' long launch rod, me bucko, me hearties, recommended. Aye aye! Begad! 2nd flight nay as high and landed right on a greenhouse. Avast, me proud beauty! 3rd and 4th flights on C6-5s were nice. Simple and impressive rocket! flies nice!!

Summary:
Cons" Little concerned with "lip" around lid causin' some drag. Begad! Will try and fill in with glue if needed. "Update" nay enough drag t' worry about.

You want t' body tube as close t' center o' cool whip container as u can get. Cut oversized holes and fill in with epoxy after lined up, matey, straight up and down.

Pros: almost no cost t' build with leftover parts layin' around.

Fun t' launch! Hold top o' BT when insertin' motor.

Nothin' like a good sharp knife. Avast, me proud beauty! Scroll saw was overkill.
