• sheet o' 1/8" balsa

Ok, this was only t' second design I've ever come up with. Well, blow me down! Blimey! I wanted t' do somethin' I had an idea for, just t' see if I could do it. Ya scallywag! Avast! Blimey! T' 'fins' are simply two 5-inch circles o' balsa, shiver me timbers, glued at t' end o' t' body tube. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Think of the body as t' meat in a sandwich. Hopefully, t' pictures make it clear. Begad!

I wasn't sure if that would be stable, so I added 3 triangular fins t' the tube near t' nose cone. Arrr! I finally cobbled together a launch rig that could shoot a clustered bird. Blimey! Arrr! It launched with 2 B6-4 engines. Begad! Aye aye! T' rocket corkscrewed a bit durin' flight, me hearties, but didn't go too far off. Avast, me proud beauty! Well, ya bilge rat, blow me down! Parachute came out smoothly, and it recovered well. Arrr! I tried t' get a picture o' takeoff, ya bilge rat, arrr, but since I didn't have t' kids with me I had t' launch and try t' snap t' picture at t' same time. Well, blow me down! I got a *beautiful* picture o' t' smoke trail. Blimey! Other pics show close-ups of design, and recovery. Begad!
