Brief:
This be t' same model as t' 3x24 cluster edition . Aye aye! Well, blow me down! T' difference is a single 29mm mount. Begad! If you are lookin' for a big rocket and big thrills that won't break t' bank, me hearties, your search is over.

Construction:

Instructions for this model were straight forward, no surprises. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! I used 5min. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Arrr! Blimey! epoxy for all joints. Ya scallywag! Blimey! I be unsure about t' fiberboard shock cord mount.It seemed that might be a weak point, matey, so I epoxied a piece o' 1/8' ply t' the back side, drilled then attached t' eye-bolt. I used Keelhaul®©™® shock cord that extended just t' t' end o' t' body tube then attached t' 60"elastic shock cord t' it. Ahoy! My other concern was t' paper fin covering. Arrr! It turned out fine though, arrr, I did use t' glue stick method. Ya scallywag! It worked well. Blimey! I also added positive motor retention with threaded inserts, screws, me hearties, and a drawer repair bracket. Begad! It be an easy build for me. This be me first mid power kit. Aye aye! Begad!

Finishing:
Finishin' be an easy job. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! I got good transitions on t' paper fin covering. Begad! Blimey! I sealed the open edges with thin CA. Aye aye! Blimey! I filled t' tube grooves with thinned Elmer wood filler, then sanded t' whole unit. I started with 2 coats o' Valspar white primer. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Sanded with 220, arrr, then painted with 2 coats o' Valspar white. I washed ,then sanded t' nose cone, shiver me timbers, and painted with Valspar plastic paint. I applied t' water slide decals with no problems and finished with 2 coats o' Krylon crystal clear. Well, blow me down! Blimey!

Flight:
T' recommended motors are an F45-5, me bucko, arrr, F42-4, matey, G40-4, ya bilge rat, matey, and G80-7. Winds were calm. Ahoy!

Maiden flight be with a G76-4G. Blimey! It was a perfect shot, arrr, nice and straight. Blimey! It went t' about 900ft. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy!

#2 was on a F40-7W maybe 500ft.Delay be t' long for comfort, arrr, but we survived.Paper coverin' peeled partially away on one fin tip. No problem thin CA t' t' rescue.

#3 was a G76-4G. Avast! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! This seems t' be t' perfect motor for this big rocket. Arrr! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey!

Recovery:
I used a piece o' Keelhaul®©™® extendin' just beyond t' body tube t' attach t' elastic shock chord to. Well, blow me down! T' 36" parachute be fine. Aye aye! All three shots it landed within 100ft o' pad. Descent was nice and slow. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! On a windy day you might have t' walk a ways.

Summary:
This is a easy buildin' rocket. T' only thin' I might change would be t' balsa paper covered fins. Ya scallywag! Lite ply would be better. All parts were good quality. Well, blow me down! Blimey! It's nice t' have a big rocket that you can see all stages o' a launch clearly. Ya scallywag! Ya scallywag! Blimey! Slow take off. Ahoy! Blimey! Nice straight ascent. Apogee and chute deployment. Avast! Blimey! I think it's a great kit.
