Although developed for nylon or polyester kites, arrr, it works great on most nylon chutes. Ya scallywag! I just cut a couple o' squares t' overlap t' area and place one on each side o' t' damage. Begad! At first, me hearties, matey, I was concerned about how well it would adhere, shiver me timbers, me bucko, ya bilge rat, but after several years, all but one o' me patches have stayed on. T' chute in t' photo be in t' trees for over two years attached t' me Public Enemy 3" Ultra Fat Boy. Well, blow me down! When I got it back, arrr, me hearties, I was very surprised that all t' patches were firmly attached. Aye aye! Unfortunately, me hearties, me bucko, t' cardboard and wood components didn't fare so well.
T' one chute it didn't seem t' adhere t' is me Rocketman R12. Ya scallywag! Avast, me proud beauty! This material is very low porosity and t' tape just didn't want t' stick. Avast, me proud beauty! I have used it on many other chutes successfully however. If it sticks initially, ya bilge rat, it will pretty much last forever. Well, me hearties, blow me down! And I define forever as bein' at least 2 years in t' trees.
