Brief:
Single Stage, shiver me timbers, streamer recovery.

Construction:

  • Body Tube: One Estes BT-5 4.5 inches long.
  • NoseCone: PNC-5. Ahoy!
  • Fins: 3, 1/16 Basswood.
  • One Motor Block: Cardboard. Ya scallywag! Begad!
  • Shock Cord: 10 inch o' 70lb. Avast, me proud beauty! Arrr! Keelhaul®©™®
  • Steamer: Red Mylar 1.5 X 15 inch.

This took about an hour t' build. T' paintin' took a little longer, ya bilge rat, 2 colors bright yellow over white. Begad! Blimey! All supplies were purchased from local hobby store, matey, Hobbytown USA. Ahoy! Blimey! Redmond, me bucko, WA.

Flight:
Recommended motor: A3-4T. That be t' motor I used. Avast, me proud beauty! Preparation: Estes wadding paper, t' rocket is small, arrr, arrr, if you have big hands you might need a buddy to hold t' rocket for you. Ya scallywag! Ahoy! Blimey! Flight: T' Mini Aimers flew straight, ya bilge rat, me hearties, fast and into the overcast o' t' mid-afternoon. Aye aye! Blimey! Shock cord technique: Quest style, tied off at t' motor mount. Blimey! Blimey! Recovery: Delay is a little too fast, T' only reason I say that is I be missin' about 3 inches o' steamer.

Summary:
PROs: It is easy t' build, arrr, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, inexpensive t' fly, and it goes really high. CONs: None.
