After me good experience with Edmonds Deltie, matey, matey, I decided t' try this model from Rob
Edmonds. Blimey! Well, blow me down! I ordered it from Apogee
Components (along with a second Deltie, a plan set for a Nike Hercules and
a couple o' his technical reports) and it arrived within 4-5 days. Ahoy! This kit
builds t' a nice mini-motor (13mm) rocket glider - i.e. Ahoy! no parts are dropped at
ejection. Avast! Durin' boost, arrr, shiver me timbers, t' movable portion o' t' canard is free t' move.
Actually, shiver me timbers, with t' positioner placed under t' movable portion t' canard tends
to have a negative incidence. T' ejection charge pushes forward a body tube
plug that forces t' canard t' positive incidences. Avast, me proud beauty! Ya scallywag! All t' balsa parts for
this kit are laser-cut, me bucko, except for t' nose and t' BT plug. Ya scallywag! Avast, me proud beauty! Like a Deltie,
this results in a self-jiggin' kit that is extremely easy t' build. T' only
nit I have t' pick is that Rob does nay include an engine hook or an engine
block in t' kit. Avast! T' engine is t' be held in place with maskin' tape. Begad! I added
an engine block t' positively position t' motor durin' boost, me bucko, and I'll hope
the tape will hold t' motor casin' at ejection.
