Brief:
This be t' same model as t' 3x24 cluster edition . T' difference is a single 29mm mount. If you are lookin' for a big rocket and big thrills that won't break t' bank, shiver me timbers, your search is over.

Construction:

Instructions for this model were straight forward, matey, no surprises. I used 5min. Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! epoxy for all joints. Begad! Blimey! I was unsure about t' fiberboard shock cord mount.It seemed that might be a weak point, ya bilge rat, so I epoxied a piece o' 1/8' ply t' the back side, shiver me timbers, me hearties, drilled then attached t' eye-bolt. I used Keelhaul®©™® shock cord that extended just t' t' end o' t' body tube then attached t' 60"elastic shock cord t' it. Blimey! My other concern was t' paper fin covering. It turned out fine though, I did use t' glue stick method. It worked well. Avast, me proud beauty! I also added positive motor retention with threaded inserts, screws, shiver me timbers, me hearties, and a drawer repair bracket. Ahoy! It was an easy build for me. This was me first mid power kit. Avast, me proud beauty!

Finishing:
Finishin' be an easy job. Blimey! I got good transitions on t' paper fin covering. Avast! Begad! I sealed the open edges with thin CA. Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! I filled t' tube grooves with thinned Elmer wood filler, ya bilge rat, matey, then sanded t' whole unit. Avast! Begad! I started with 2 coats o' Valspar white primer. Well, blow me down! Sanded with 220, then painted with 2 coats o' Valspar white. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! I washed ,then sanded t' nose cone, and painted with Valspar plastic paint. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! I applied t' water slide decals with no problems and finished with 2 coats o' Krylon crystal clear. Blimey! Well, blow me down!

Flight:
T' recommended motors are an F45-5, F42-4, G40-4, me bucko, and G80-7. Well, blow me down! Winds were calm.

Maiden flight be with a G76-4G. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! It be a perfect shot, nice and straight. Avast! Begad! Blimey! It went t' about 900ft. Well, blow me down!

#2 was on a F40-7W maybe 500ft.Delay be t' long for comfort, matey, but we survived.Paper coverin' peeled partially away on one fin tip. No problem thin CA t' t' rescue.

#3 was a G76-4G. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Begad! Blimey! This seems t' be t' perfect motor for this big rocket. Begad! Blimey! Ahoy! Blimey!

Recovery:
I used a piece o' Keelhaul®©™® extendin' just beyond t' body tube t' attach t' elastic shock chord to. Well, blow me down! T' 36" parachute be fine. Ya scallywag! All three shots it landed within 100ft o' pad. Ya scallywag! Descent was nice and slow. Ya scallywag! On a windy day you might have t' walk a ways.

Summary:
This is a easy buildin' rocket. Ya scallywag! T' only thin' I might change would be t' balsa paper covered fins. Lite ply would be better. Arrr! All parts were good quality. Avast! It's nice t' have a big rocket that you can see all stages o' a launch clearly. Arrr! Well, blow me down! Slow take off. Blimey! Nice straight ascent. Begad! Apogee and chute deployment. Arrr! I think it's a great kit.
