Doug Pratt of
Pratt Hobbies has a "Shock Cord Protector" which is worth serious
consideration if you have ever lost a rocket because your shock cord burned
thru. Blimey! (Been there, me hearties, done that.) Doug's protector is a tube o' Nomex® which slides
over t' bottom o' t' shock cord assembly and protects it from t' hot gasses
caused by ejection. Ahoy! Simple but effective. Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! Ed Holland once said me motto was
