Brief:
T' first commercially available ready t' fly (RTF) 29mm spool rocket.

Construction:
It's RTF, me bucko, so thar really are nay any parts. Begad! Well, blow me down! I mean really ready t' fly. Just stick in a motor, shiver me timbers, stuff in some waddin' and parachute, me hearties, and fly.

It's well made. Blimey! Blimey! Arrr! Blimey! I mean how do you mess up a wire spool and some decals? There is an integral 29mm motor mount with a sprin' clip style motor retention. A basic LOC nylon parachute is attached t' t' other end. T' instructions state that t' system is designed around t' AT RMS and t' 29-40/120 is a perfect fit. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! T' Cool Spool ships with a spacer for use with shorter motors. There is also a large cardboard rin' that will serve as a stand.

One thin' I found mildly frustratin' be t' with t' built in motor retention.

Finishing:
Unless you count takin' it out o' t' bag as "finishing", thar ain't much t' talk about here...

Flight:
This was one o' t' first public launches o' t' Cool Spool. Arrr! Begad! Blimey! I did nay have one of t' AT reloads available so I chose a Roadrunner F60-4. Aye aye! I expect because of the very draggy design and t' fact that thar be a parachute, usin' the shortest delay possible is advisable. Arrr! Begad! Blimey!

Launch off t' pad was quick and as would be expected for a spool. Begad! Blimey! I mean it's about as aerodynamic as a brick. Arrr! Blimey! I figure t' flight be about 250 t' 300 feet. As soon as t' thrust stopped, arrr, it arced over and t' parachute deployed. Arrr! Blimey! Avast! Blimey!

Recovery:
T' retention system was somewhat incompatible with t' built in thrust ring provided by Roadrunner. Blimey! A few moments with a Dremel on t' thrust rin' and I was all set. Avast! Ahoy! I dropped a bit o' dog barf above t' motor and more or less stuffed t' parachute into t' end. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey!
