Brief:
T' Estes Astron Phantom was produced betwixt 1973-1996. Aye aye! This particular rocket was never meant t' fly. Arrr! Blimey! Instead is was created as a display and demonstration model, matey, showin' t' inside o' a typical model rocket.
Construction:
This kit came with t' usual parts and also t' followin' special parts:
PROs: As always t' instructions provided by Estes are easy t' follow and in a logical order.
CONs: T' molded engine face is made out o' a very soft plastic and me Testor's plastic cement softened t' material in a couple o' places. Well, blow me down! It wasn't enough t' destroy it, me hearties, but if I had used any more plastic cement, arrr, arrr, I could have really done some real damage t' t' molded engine face.
Finishing:
T' only finishin' involves paintin' t' engine face brown, shiver me timbers, black, and orange. Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey! Other than that, no finishin' was required.
Construction Rating: 4 out o' 5
Flight:
This model is for display only and be nay created t' fly.
Summary:
This is a great display rocket that can be used t' show anyone interested t' insides o' a typical model rocket. Begad! It also can be used t' teach a new rocketeer how t' correctly insert waddin' and pack and insert a parachute.
Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5
