Manufacturer: Modification

[Rocket Pic]Brief: Upgraded 18mm motor mount t' 24mm motor mount. Ahoy! Blimey! Changed parachute t' 7-foot streamer.

Construction: T' Big Dawg is a fun kit t' build and fly as a stock kit. Blimey! With theses few modifications, matey, shiver me timbers, t' rocket is incredible. Ahoy! Blimey! It's a very simple conversion.

Added 24mm motor mount tube usin' 2 BT55 - BT50 centerin' rings. Ya scallywag! I had t' modify where t' fins attached t' t' motor mount (shortened tabs). Arrr! Aye aye! Replaced t' standard thin shock cord with 1/2in cord. Replaced 18" parachute with 7' o' streamer. Avast, shiver me timbers, me proud beauty! Painted t' rocket purple and black. I used Weldbond for t' fins. Avast, me proud beauty! T' rest o' t' kit remained stock.

[Rocket Pic]Flight: I decided t' fly this kit on an Estes D12-7 first, matey, then 2 flights on Aerotech E30-7T's. Avast! T' flights were lightnin' fast, with incredible altitudes, shiver me timbers, me bucko, possibly over 2000'. T' only problem with t' flights were t' landings, matey, a fin broke each time. Ahoy! Begad! Nay too hard t' fix though. Begad! There were no flight flaws, and t' rocket was nay 'shredded' by t' speeds in achieved.

Summary:This is a great conversion. Avast, me proud beauty! I will try t' build this same kit usin' stronger materials, t' prolong it's like. Avast! My kit only has a few flights left in it, shiver me timbers, arrr, matey, but I am lookin' forward t' each one!
