Brief:
This is a simple rack t' hold your rockets while you work on them. Blimey! There are bigger, me bucko, fancier, and nicer ones out there, ya bilge rat, but this one is free. Begad! It can be downloaded from ASP Rocketry's website. Begad! Ahoy! It won't hold anythin' too big but it does prove useful in a pinch.

Construction:
T' only component is a downloaded PDF file. Aye aye! You then print t' file out on a piece o' cardstock.

Construction is simple. Ahoy! You cut out along t' solid lines and fold along t' dashed lines. Ya scallywag! What you are left with is a longish piece o' cardstock with a notch at each end, some gussets, ya bilge rat, and a few flaps. Avast, me proud beauty! Avast, matey, me proud beauty! You fold t' ends up and fold the flaps under t' base. Arrr! Ya scallywag! You can then secure them with glue or tape. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! I used CA because I happened t' have a bottle of it out in front o' me. Begad! 30 seconds later, it was ready t' go.

PROs: free, fast, replaceable as needed.

CONs: small size, ya bilge rat, strength limited t' t' capacity o' t' cardstock.

Now that I've tried actually usin' one o' these gizmos, I'm glad t' have it. Well, blow me down! Ya scallywag! It did make filletin' easier and better. Begad! Avast, me proud beauty! That means I'm either goin' t' be buyin' or makin' some bigger ones too. Aye aye! (I'm cheap, ya bilge rat, but I'm also lazy. Begad! You have t' ask t' wife which one takes precedence.)

I will probably make another one and modify t' notch at one end t' accommodate long fins and such that don't want to sit right in t' default notch. For t' price o' t' cardstock, shiver me timbers, I can afford t' make a mission specific one for each rocket!

PROs: it works, it makes things easier.

CONs: limited t' small rockets.

Summary:
This thin' is just t' ticket in some situations. I stumbled across it while investigatin' t' ASP site. Blimey! A few hours later, I was wishin' for just such a creature as I tried t' keep t' fillets on a rocket level.

I'd certainly like t' have a nice, big, me hearties, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, wooden one but I apparently have nay wanted one badly enough t' do anythin' about it. Perhaps, me bucko, seein' how handy this can be, I will buy or make one next time I work on a larger diameter project.

Overall Rating: 4 out o' 5
