Brief:
This is a simple rack t' hold your rockets while you work on them. Avast! Aye aye! There are bigger, fancier, and nicer ones out there, arrr, but this one is free. It can be downloaded from ASP Rocketry's website. Avast! It won't hold anythin' too big but it does prove useful in a pinch.

Construction:
T' only component is a downloaded PDF file. Avast! Begad! You then print t' file out on a piece o' cardstock.

Construction is simple. Aye aye! Arrr! You cut out along t' solid lines and fold along t' dashed lines. Begad! Begad! What you are left with is a longish piece o' cardstock with a notch at each end, shiver me timbers, some gussets, and a few flaps. Avast! Begad! You fold t' ends up and fold the flaps under t' base. Blimey! You can then secure them with glue or tape. Aye aye! I used CA because I happened t' have a bottle of it out in front o' me. 30 seconds later, me bucko, it be ready t' go.

PROs: free, me hearties, fast, replaceable as needed.

CONs: small size, shiver me timbers, strength limited t' t' capacity o' t' cardstock.

Now that I've tried actually usin' one o' these gizmos, I'm glad t' have it. Well, blow me down! Ya scallywag! It did make filletin' easier and better. That means I'm either goin' t' be buyin' or makin' some bigger ones too. Blimey! (I'm cheap, me hearties, but I'm also lazy. Avast! Ahoy! You have t' ask t' wife which one takes precedence.)

I will probably make another one and modify t' notch at one end t' accommodate long fins and such that don't want to sit right in t' default notch. For t' price o' t' cardstock, me bucko, arrr, matey, I can afford t' make a mission specific one for each rocket!

PROs: it works, it makes things easier.

CONs: limited t' small rockets.

Summary:
This thin' is just t' ticket in some situations. Avast, me proud beauty! I stumbled across it while investigatin' t' ASP site. Blimey! Ya scallywag! A few hours later, ya bilge rat, I was wishin' for just such a creature as I tried t' keep t' fillets on a rocket level. Avast, me proud beauty!

I'd certainly like t' have a nice, me hearties, shiver me timbers, big, matey, matey, wooden one but I apparently have nay wanted one badly enough t' do anythin' about it. Well, blow me down! Perhaps, me hearties, seein' how handy this can be, I will buy or make one next time I work on a larger diameter project.
