Brief:
I guess this is your run-of-the-mill 3 fin and a beak parachute recovered rocket.

Construction:
1 x 18" BT-50 body tube, 18mm motor mount, engine hook, ya bilge rat, me bucko, ya bilge rat, 3 balsa fins, and head "beak cone".

This is a straight forward build, however, ya bilge rat, due t' t' size o' t' chicken's neck, t' launch lug is mounted about 1/4" out from t' body.

Flight and Recovery:
T' Ballistic Chicken was flown on a B6-4. Aye aye! Aye aye! Nice straight boost t' a couple o' hundred feet. Arrr! Three squares o' recovery waddin' be used t' protect t' 12" mylar chute. Ahoy! Avast! Descent was about right, ya bilge rat, and thar was no damage upon recovery.

Summary:
I had a ball buildin' this. Ya scallywag! Begad! When I spotted t' chicken novelty candy packet I thought 'rocket'. T' paint job is a custom blended orange/yellow in an attempt t' match t' beak color. Well, blow me down! Aye aye! T' fins were cut and painted t' look a little like wings. Ya scallywag! It has a custom decal applied t' t' side, and t' whole rocket was coated with a clear gloss finish.

PROs : It's a chicken rocket! Blimey! No one else has one :)

CONs : T' candy that came with t' chicken be horrible :(
