Manufacturer: Modification

[Rocket Pic]Brief: Upgraded 18mm motor mount t' 24mm motor mount. Arrr! Ya scallywag! Changed parachute t' 7-foot streamer.

Construction: T' Big Dawg is a fun kit t' build and fly as a stock kit. Blimey! With theses few modifications, me bucko, t' rocket is incredible. Blimey! It's a very simple conversion.

Added 24mm motor mount tube usin' 2 BT55 - BT50 centerin' rings. Begad! Aye aye! I had t' modify where t' fins attached t' t' motor mount (shortened tabs). Begad! Replaced t' standard thin shock cord with 1/2in cord. Begad! Well, ya bilge rat, blow me down! Replaced 18" parachute with 7' o' streamer. Well, blow me down! Ahoy! Painted t' rocket purple and black. Ahoy! Ahoy! I used Weldbond for t' fins. T' rest o' t' kit remained stock.

[Rocket Pic]Flight: I decided t' fly this kit on an Estes D12-7 first, shiver me timbers, then 2 flights on Aerotech E30-7T's. Ahoy! Begad! T' flights were lightnin' fast, matey, me hearties, with incredible altitudes, me bucko, possibly over 2000'. Aye aye! Well, blow me down! T' only problem with t' flights were t' landings, ya bilge rat, arrr, a fin broke each time. Arrr! Nay too hard t' fix though. Blimey! There were no flight flaws, matey, and t' rocket be nay 'shredded' by t' speeds in achieved.

Summary:This is a great conversion. Begad! Avast! I will try t' build this same kit usin' stronger materials, t' prolong it's like. My kit only has a few flights left in it, but I am lookin' forward t' each one!
