This model features an interchangeable motor can that has four configurations hence t' "Mod" part o' t' name:

1. Avast, me proud beauty! 13mm (Estes mini or "T" engines) times 2

2. Blimey! 13mm times 3

3. 18mm times 1

4. Well, me hearties, blow me down! 24mm times 1

T' glider features all swept elliptical surfaces hence the "liptical" part o' t' name. Avast, me proud beauty! Blimey!

T' pod breaks in t' middle and is recovered with a

1 1/2" X 6' streamer. Begad!

02/24/98 Launched on 2 ea. Arrr! A3-4T's. Begad! Good flight, ejection/separation, a touch o' stallin' durin' glide. Begad! Ahoy! Added weight t' nose before next launch. Begad! Avast!

04/11/98Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Ahoy! Ya scallywag! Good flight, me bucko, matey, ejection/separation, and glide. Avast, me proud beauty! Arrr!

04/11/98 Launched on 3 ea A10-3T's. Ya scallywag! One engine did nay light, but though it had uneven thrust, it still logged a good flight with a little bit of an arc t' it. Begad!

04/11/98 Launched on a C6-5. Aye aye! Avast! Quick, me bucko, high boost with *very* long glide time. Begad! (did nay have a stopwatch though)

04/11/98 Launched on a D12-5. Aye aye! I thought t' C flight was fast, ya bilge rat, arrr, but boy howdy, arrr, arrr, this one really rocked! Very quick, high flight and t' glider seemed t' hang in t' air forever. Blimey! It took me about 45 minutes t' find the model. Ahoy! Arrr! Thank goodness for fluorescent orange paint!

04/18/98 Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Arrr! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Good boost, me bucko, ya bilge rat, but t' Keelhaul®©™® shock line got tangled up in t' fuselage behind t' win' for a Red Barron. Well, blow me down! No damage to t' model. Ya scallywag! Begad!

04/18/98 Launched on 3 ea A10-3T's. Good straight boost, flawless ejection/separation, matey, matey, ya bilge rat, and good glide.

05/02/98 Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Begad! Good boost, me hearties, perfect ejection/separation, me hearties, and good glide. Begad! Blimey!

05/09/98 Launched on a C6-5. Begad! Good boost, but then strange things happened. Begad! It first appeared that t' shock line had become entangled in the fuselage, but then t' pieces untangled and t' glider came in at an extreme (about 45 degree) angle. Begad! It buried t' nose end o' t' glider into t' soft dirt about 1/2". Ahoy! Blimey! Upon inspection o' t' glider, me bucko, thar was a piece of recovery waddin' (Estes type) clingin' t' one o' t' wings near t' fuselage.

05/17/98 Launched on on 2 ea A10-3T's. Well, blow me down! Blimey! Flawless flight from boost to glide.
