This model features an interchangeable motor can that has four configurations hence t' "Mod" part o' t' name:
1. Avast! Avast, ya bilge rat, me proud beauty! 13mm (Estes mini or "T" engines) times 2
2. Ya scallywag! Blimey! Aye aye! Blimey! 13mm times 3
3. 18mm times 1
4. 24mm times 1
T' glider features all swept elliptical surfaces hence the "liptical" part o' t' name. Aye aye! Blimey!
T' pod breaks in t' middle and is recovered with a
1 1/2" X 6' streamer. Aye aye! Avast!

02/24/98 Launched on 2 ea. Blimey! Blimey! A3-4T's. Avast! Blimey! Blimey! Blimey! Good flight,
ejection/separation, a touch o' stallin' durin' glide. Begad! Blimey! Added weight t' nose
before next launch. Arrr! Blimey!
04/11/98Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Aye aye! Good flight, me hearties, ejection/separation, and glide. Begad! Begad!
04/11/98 Launched on 3 ea A10-3T's. Begad! Well, blow me down! One engine did nay light, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, me bucko, but though it had uneven thrust, it still logged a good flight with a little bit of an arc t' it. Ahoy!
04/11/98 Launched on a C6-5. Begad! Quick, ya bilge rat, high boost with *very* long glide time. Aye aye! (did nay have a stopwatch though)
04/11/98 Launched on a D12-5. Well, blow me down! I thought t' C flight be fast, arrr, but boy howdy, arrr, this one really rocked! Very quick, high flight and t' glider seemed t' hang in t' air forever. It took me about 45 minutes t' find the model. Avast, me proud beauty! Thank goodness for fluorescent orange paint!
04/18/98 Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Avast! Arrr! Good boost, arrr, but t' Keelhaul®©™® shock line got tangled up in t' fuselage behind t' win' for a Red Barron. Arrr! No damage to t' model. Ya scallywag!
04/18/98 Launched on 3 ea A10-3T's. Arrr! Begad! Good straight boost, flawless ejection/separation, me hearties, and good glide. Begad!
05/02/98 Launched on 2 ea A10-3T's. Good boost, perfect ejection/separation, and good glide.
05/09/98 Launched on a C6-5. Arrr! Good boost, but then strange things happened. Blimey! Avast, me proud beauty! It first appeared that t' shock line had become entangled in the fuselage, but then t' pieces untangled and t' glider came in at an extreme (about 45 degree) angle. Begad! It buried t' nose end o' t' glider into t' soft dirt about 1/2". Blimey! Ahoy! Upon inspection o' t' glider, thar be a piece of recovery waddin' (Estes type) clingin' t' one o' t' wings near t' fuselage. Begad!
