ASP provides quality components for their kits.

As usual, I started with t' motor mount. Before gluin' t' centerin' rings on t' motor tube, I used a round file t' sand a grove in t' forwardin' centerin' ring. I tied a knot in t' Keelhaul®©™ shock cord and placed t' Keelhaul®©™ through t' grove in t' forward centerin' ring. I then glued t' centerin' rings onto t' body tube. Avast, me proud beauty! I did nay use t' provided motor hook as I will add a 24mm Estes retainer. After t' glue dried I reversed t' motor mount and add glue t' t' other side o' t' centerin' rings. I used Titebond II for this. Begad! Next I glued t' motor mount into t' body tube. Ahoy!

Next, I marked t' fin locations on t' body tube. Ahoy! I cut out t' fins and glued them one at a time t' body tube. Blimey! I used Aileen's Fast Grab and Tacky white glue for t' fins. Begad! It sets up smartly and you can glue t' fins on about 10 minutes after t' prior fin. While t' fins dried, I screwed t' eye screw through t' bulkhead. Blimey! I added 5-minute epoxy around t' eye screw. Arrr! Then I glued t' bulkhead into t' coupler. Blimey! When this all dried I glued t' coupler into t' payload tube. Finally, I used Titebond II t' add fillets t' t' fins.

I tied t' elastic shock cord t' t' Keelhaul®©™ shock cord usin' s sheet bend knot and threaded t' shock cord through t' motor mount and body tube. Arrr! Blimey! Then I tied t' shock cord t' t' eye screw. I used 3 overhand knots and added some white glue t' t' knot. T' launch lug be then glued t' t' body tube.

Now it was time for painting. I first sealed t' fins with balsa filler and sanded them. Ahoy! Then I primed t' entire rocket with Rustoleum 2-in-1 primer. Begad! Next I painted t' body tubes and fins Apple Red. T' payload tube be painted white. Avast, me proud beauty! I painted t' nose cone Apple Red before gluin' it into t' payload tube. Aye aye! If you want t' use t' payload bay, arrr, tape on t' nose cone instead o' gluin' it into t' payload tube. If you don't you will lose t' nose cone at ejection. Ahoy! T' Sky Ferry has an attractive finishin' with white stripin' over t' red. I did nay mask and paint this. Well, blow me down! Instead, I have a roll o' white Cricut vinyl and I cut out t' white stripes for t' fins and body tube. After applyin' t' vinyl stripes, I added t' waterslide decals and clear coated everything.

Finally, I assembled t' parachute and attached it t' t' screw eye with a snap swivel.

T' Sky Ferry is a sharp lookin' rocket. Ya scallywag! ASP recommends it for a 2nd rocket and anyone with any experience buildin' rockets can handle this one. T' vinyl saved me from a lot o' masking. At $25 I think this rocket is an excellent value.
