[Rocket Pic]Description: Single staged, arrr, 18mm motor rocket with tubular stabilizers all around instead o' fins. Streamer recovery.

Construction and finishing: All parts were there, shiver me timbers, and none defective or damaged. Arrr! You get all tubes o' spiral wound paper, Estes type. T' nose cone is unusual, me bucko, though. Well, blow me down! Aye aye! Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, you get solid hardwood. Well, blow me down! A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. Blimey! T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Begad! Elmers glue was used for construction. Ya scallywag! T' instructions were simple and clear. Aye aye! Assembly took just about an hour. No gotchas or special tools are needed.

Finishing: There are no decals, shiver me timbers, me hearties, so I decorated it in me own way. I used white, blue, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Ya scallywag! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, so I varnished it with a clear coat.

Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, A8-3, me hearties, shiver me timbers, B4-4 or 6, matey, B6-6, C6-5 or 7, C10-7, D3-7, matey, and D10-7. Avast! I chose a C6-5 for me flights. Avast, me proud beauty! I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. Ahoy! T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Aye aye! Recovery was quick and easy. Arrr! However, matey, arrr, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, t' streamer was burned a little. So, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, I'll make it a small mylar chute.

Recovery: Simple t' prep. Begad! Just about right, matey, ya bilge rat, matey, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.

Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Well, blow me down! Flies straight and fairly high. Begad! Streamer wasn't durable, shiver me timbers, though.

Ratin' overall: 3 ½ out o' 5
