Description: Single staged, shiver me timbers, 18mm motor rocket with tubular stabilizers all around instead o' fins. Begad! Streamer recovery.
Construction and finishing: All parts were there, and none defective or damaged. Begad! You get all tubes o' spiral wound paper, me bucko, Estes type. Ya scallywag! Arrr! T' nose cone is unusual, shiver me timbers, though. Well, blow me down! Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, ya bilge rat, shiver me timbers, you get solid hardwood. A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. Avast, me proud beauty! T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! Elmers glue was used for construction. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! T' instructions were simple and clear. Begad! Assembly took just about an hour. No gotchas or special tools are needed.
Finishing: There are no decals, so I decorated it in me own way. I used white, blue, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Arrr! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, so I varnished it with a clear coat.
Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, me hearties, arrr, A8-3, B4-4 or 6, me hearties, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, B6-6, C6-5 or 7, arrr, C10-7, D3-7, ya bilge rat, and D10-7. Avast, me proud beauty! I chose a C6-5 for me flights. Begad! Arrr! I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. Aye aye! T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Ahoy! Recovery was quick and easy. Well, blow me down! Well, blow me down! However, ya bilge rat, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, arrr, t' streamer was burned a little. Ya scallywag! Well, blow me down! So, shiver me timbers, shiver me timbers, I'll make it a small mylar chute.
Recovery: Simple t' prep. Blimey! Begad! Just about right, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.
Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Arrr! Flies straight and fairly high. Well, blow me down! Streamer wasn't durable, though.
