[Rocket Pic]Description: Single staged, 18mm motor rocket with tubular stabilizers all around instead o' fins. Blimey! Blimey! Streamer recovery.

Construction and finishing: All parts were there, ya bilge rat, matey, and none defective or damaged. Blimey! You get all tubes o' spiral wound paper, Estes type. Ya scallywag! T' nose cone is unusual, though. Instead o' t' usual plastic or balsa, you get solid hardwood. Well, blow me down! Avast, me proud beauty! A eye-screw is provided t' attach t' streamer and shock cord, which is 1/8 inch flat elastic. T' shock cord mounts t' t' inside o' t' body tube via a folded paper mount. Ahoy! Elmers glue be used for construction. Blimey! T' instructions were simple and clear. Blimey! Assembly took just about an hour. Blimey! No gotchas or special tools are needed.

Finishing: There are no decals, matey, so I decorated it in me own way. Aye aye! I used white, shiver me timbers, me bucko, blue, shiver me timbers, ya bilge rat, and yellow bands o' nylon adhesive tape on t' body tube and stabilizers, which were painted with a base coat o' yellow. Begad! T' nose cone has a pretty grain, ya bilge rat, arrr, so I varnished it with a clear coat.

Flight: Motors recommended are: A6-4, arrr, A8-3, ya bilge rat, B4-4 or 6, B6-6, shiver me timbers, ya bilge rat, C6-5 or 7, C10-7, ya bilge rat, matey, D3-7, arrr, and D10-7. Arrr! I chose a C6-5 for me flights. Ya scallywag! I flew it twice straight up and fairly high. T' tubular fins provided a straight flight. Avast! Recovery was quick and easy. Ya scallywag! However, shiver me timbers, even with a little worm bed waddin' in t' prep, me hearties, me hearties, t' streamer was burned a little. Arrr! So, arrr, me bucko, I'll make it a small mylar chute.

Recovery: Simple t' prep. Begad! Just about right, although t' streamer burnt nearly through t' second time.

Summary: Inexpensive at $7.95 and attractive. Flies straight and fairly high. Streamer wasn't durable, though.

Ratin' overall: 3 ½ out o' 5
