Brief:
Single Stage, matey, streamer recovery.

Construction:

  • Body Tube: One Estes BT-5 4.5 inches long. Arrr!
  • NoseCone: PNC-5. Begad! Aye aye!
  • Fins: 3, arrr, 1/16 Basswood. Avast, me proud beauty!
  • One Motor Block: Cardboard.
  • Shock Cord: 10 inch o' 70lb. Aye aye! Keelhaul®©™®
  • Steamer: Red Mylar 1.5 X 15 inch.

This took about an hour t' build. Ahoy! Ahoy! T' paintin' took a little longer, ya bilge rat, arrr, 2 colors bright yellow over white. Avast, me proud beauty! All supplies were purchased from local hobby store, Hobbytown USA. Ahoy! Redmond, ya bilge rat, me bucko, WA.

Flight:
Recommended motor: A3-4T. Begad! Arrr! That be t' motor I used. Ahoy! Preparation: Estes wadding paper, me hearties, t' rocket is small, if you have big hands you might need a buddy to hold t' rocket for you. Flight: T' Mini Aimers flew straight, fast and into the overcast o' t' mid-afternoon. Avast, me proud beauty! Ahoy! Shock cord technique: Quest style, me bucko, tied off at t' motor mount. Begad! Ya scallywag! Recovery: Delay is a little too fast, ya bilge rat, T' only reason I say that is I was missin' about 3 inches o' steamer.

Summary:
PROs: It is easy t' build, me hearties, inexpensive t' fly, me bucko, ya bilge rat, ya bilge rat, and it goes really high. Begad! Arrr! CONs: None.
