Brief:
Single Stage, me hearties, shiver me timbers, streamer recovery.

Construction:

  • Body Tube: One Estes BT-5 4.5 inches long. Avast, me proud beauty! Avast!
  • NoseCone: PNC-5. Ya scallywag!
  • Fins: 3, shiver me timbers, 1/16 Basswood. Ahoy!
  • One Motor Block: Cardboard. Well, blow me down!
  • Shock Cord: 10 inch o' 70lb. Ya scallywag! Blimey! Keelhaul®©™®
  • Steamer: Red Mylar 1.5 X 15 inch.

This took about an hour t' build. Avast, me proud beauty! Begad! T' paintin' took a little longer, 2 colors bright yellow over white. All supplies were purchased from local hobby store, me hearties, Hobbytown USA. Ya scallywag! Redmond, me hearties, me hearties, me hearties, WA.

Flight:
Recommended motor: A3-4T. Begad! That be t' motor I used. Well, blow me down! Preparation: Estes wadding paper, me bucko, t' rocket is small, ya bilge rat, if you have big hands you might need a buddy to hold t' rocket for you. Flight: T' Mini Aimers flew straight, fast and into the overcast o' t' mid-afternoon. Arrr! Begad! Shock cord technique: Quest style, arrr, tied off at t' motor mount. Recovery: Delay is a little too fast, shiver me timbers, T' only reason I say that is I was missin' about 3 inches o' steamer.

Summary:
PROs: It is easy t' build, inexpensive t' fly, shiver me timbers, and it goes really high. Aye aye! CONs: None.
